This site is all about my 2005 championship season.Check it out , I`ll try to  show what it takes to compete at the highest level and come out on top.

Strength and Conditioning :
My training program is fairly intense.I work out 2-3 times a week ,usually 2 hr work outs.Diet is very important ,I eat plenty but try to eat the right foods.Fast foods are definetly not on my menu.I use a personal trainer from two months before the race season starts until the end of the season. It keeps me motivated.
In the off season I waterski, horseback ride and do a lot of chores on my grampa`s farm.I still work out 1-2 a week in the off season.

Sponsors and Racer Support :
Since snowmobile racing is a very expensive sport sponsors and racer support is crucial to a successfull season.Much time is spent locating sponsors for the season.I`ve found that if you can show a sponsor how they can benefit from sponsoring you it becomes much easier to gain good sponsors.Example: Dealer sponsorship - Offer to attend thier open house events and display the race sled ,trophies etc. Wear some Team clothing, display a clean sled and be proffessional !! .Product sponsors are very important and can usually be obtained with a professional resume.Keep in touch with your sponsors and follow the guide lines set up in thier racer support contract.Corporate sponsors are not easy to get ,but if your one of the top drivers and use the proper approach they can releive a big part of your expense burden.

Performance Crew :
Two win a championship you need help,a good mechanic is a must. Suspension ,clutching , engine tuning and maintanence are all  so very important for consistant finish`s.Many hours are spent in preperation for each race day.Confidence in your sled performance gives you an extra edge mentally .I`ve always liked this saying "If you think you can -you can. If you think you can`t -your probably right."

I hope some this information helps some of you who would like to race and others who just want to understand the racing business better.
